    • @Joe E. I've heard they're discontinuing support of RS 500 Pro in December 2025. However, as of this writing, PCDC is showing RS 500 V12 lifecycle status as active mature (green) not end of life (yellow). They discontinued the SLCs and most Micro 1XXX controllers (not the Micro 800s) sooner than intended due to the early 2020s chip shortage, but the MicroLogix 1400 is also currently listed as active mature. I imagine sooner than later they're going to retire that last hold-out Micro controller and its software. Better grab what you can now or consider upgrading. There is a secondary market for laptops with legacy software installed on them. I know someone who purchased one (on eBay, I think), and was happy with it. The problems with this are; you can only hope the used laptop and software works, you'll have no support from Rockwell, you'll likely have little or no support for Windows, and it might be illegal since you didn't pay for the Rockwell license(s).
    • With my serial number, I was able to download the latest version with no issue. I expect the requirement for business justification doesn't apply to downloading but to purchase.
    • You can still buy a license for RSLogix 500, it's just getting more and more expensive. For instance, the version I'm running right now has a list price of $4500 and requires a business justification to buy. Since you have SLC 5/05s in service, that should be enough justification. Contact your RA distributor for pricing. I'm not sure I did it correctly, but I went onto RA's website and I think your distributor is OneSource. If not, they should be able to point you in the right direction. I know you said you need to view, access, and modify, but if you just want a quick printout for now, post your files here and someone can generate a PDF report for you.
    • How can i upgrade the existing project in E300 HMI into X2 pro 7 HMI
    • Hi we are using Allen Bradley SLC 500 5/05. We need RS Logix 500 to view, access and modify our program in the SLC 500.  Were can we possibly get RS logix 500 software because according to AB it is already obsolete. Thanks.
    • Not with Omron software you're not...
    • That means the GOT is not communicating with the PLC.  It won't draw items it cannot read the data for.
