anas_eng Posted December 23, 2006 Report Posted December 23, 2006 HEY Guyes !!! Chech this out !! I am using Citect Scada MX4 , i have 40 station FX2n PLC , All equiped with FX2nc-485ADP Communication Adapter. i am building RS485 network and iam done of it . i tried test project with 1 PLC station Connected to FX -485PC-IF. ive connected the communication adapter and pc interface with eachother by its wiring scheme explained and ive attached the 110 ohm terminal resistor . ive created new mx4 project , inside i made an ioserever , board , ports , iodevices settings. as well i configured my plc station for RS485 using GXdeveloper , pc and PLC communication adapter budrate are identical even the com port settings of windows device manager are identical to scada ports and plc adapter Ports .all as explained in citect Manual. when i runned the project both pc interface leds are flashing , but on the plc cummunication adapter one of the leds flashing which is RD . i just put 1 point to be read from the plc on scada project. the point is vewing meaningless information on my runtime screen. i try to push plc data register with a number its not even changing on my run time screen neither its the correct value of the data register. i made Loopback test using LOOPBACK protocol its saying there is transmitted and received characters but there is some errors it has code 6 which implies to channel error , there is not even a chanel exist its just jumper between TX and RX pins of COM DB9. and i still haveing those error massages . besides COM W and R LOG FILES Are not Identical !!!!! id be greatefull if u can give me any help . TimWilborne Posted December 25, 2006 Report Posted December 25, 2006 anas_eng - Welcome to MrPLC Please do not put duplicate post regarding the same question. We have deleted two other post you put in old threads. Your question is not clear, can you explain your problem a little more? And remember, as I told you in the response to your PM it is the holiday so you may have to wait until everyone gets back to get any answers Regards, The Moderating Team of MrPLC Quote
anas_eng Posted December 25, 2006 Author Report Posted December 25, 2006 Merry Xmas TWcontrols , i understand it will be long to have any respose , and sorry for duplicated posts , its just this problem drives me crazy , besides i dint know the forum rule not to allow duplicated posts . here the problem now my freind . befor making any step toward connecting PLC's to PC is a recommended loop back test . i am using citect MX4 Scada to connect mitsubishi fx PLC"S. So i just placed as described a jumper between TX and RX pins of COM DB9 connector . so that LOOPBACK protocol of the SCADA Software can perform the test . the problem i am having is that iam alwayes having errors in communication with Code 6 which implies to channel problems. even there is no communication channel ( just the jumper is the channel between TX and RX) . i tried the connection on many pc's not just the one iam workin on , even in my home pc . same errors besides i changed the DB9 connector iam having the same errors as well . besides when i open the sent and recived frames log files of the COM Port i see they identical in most bytes in the frame just few erros ,e.g when 02 30 31 30 30 5e b4 03 43 is sent its recived as 02 30 31 30 30 5f b4 03 43 i would be greatfull if u can give me any help , and comments and hints will be wellcomed . ur freind Anas Quote
anas_eng Posted December 28, 2006 Author Report Posted December 28, 2006 THANKS GUYES I SOLVED THE PROBLEM !!!!! And i sucuessfully conncted all 50 FX PLC stsations with MX4 Scada !!!!!!!!! yeeeeeeeeee haaaaaaaaaaaaa wowowowow Quote
Ken Moore Posted December 28, 2006 Report Posted December 28, 2006 Could you share you solution? That way someone else who encounters the same problem, can use your success story as a guide. Quote
anas_eng Posted December 30, 2006 Author Report Posted December 30, 2006 Dear Moore. well if u lost any chance to get the station connected using MELSECF protocol there is powerfull solution whcih underlies by using MXComponent , powerfull tool 2 make the stations connceted by assigning logical station numbers to plc's and use virtual serial board for scada usage Quote
Nathan Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 I'm so confused. Would someone be willing to break down the issue from a few large steps back? Quote
anas_eng Posted December 31, 2006 Author Report Posted December 31, 2006 Well never mind Nathan, All the matter is I have all my PLC Stations connected Via RS485 Network. But I got the Scada not reading them yet, I chose proper network typology and proper network protocol but I still having problems and the weird thing its due to link problems even I don’t have that , even it wont do any loop back test successfully , Then some friend of mine advised me to use useful software package which is Mitsubishi MX Component , this software is capable of doing any communication over any PLC Model and any communication interface , this software is an active x which can be included in scada communication libraries and all it doing is making virtual serial board and virtual ports which using logical station numbers defined preior in the software GUI. Its Useful Software and powerful tool for communication when u having hard times connecting ur stations Quote
billfoster Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 I wondered if you or anyone could expand on how you solved this problem, i have exactly the same. Mx components is installed and everything looks good except Mx4 will not commuunicate onto the 485 network. Mx components will test the link as good and another third party opc driver will connect to the network. I must have somthing wrong in the board or port settings. i've attatched a screenshot any help much appreciated. Quote
