Cognex TIP: Snippet Backup

Don't forget to COPY your SNIPPETS from version to version. Everytime you install a Cognex Insight Explorer like version 3.3.3 it installs into it's own folder. Normally here: C:\Program Files\Cognex\In-Sight\In-Sight Explorer 3.3.3 Well, if you had version 3.3.2 installed, it's located here: C:\Program Files\Cognex\In-Sight\In-Sight Explorer 3.3.2 They do this to keep the Insight Explorer versions to match firmware in the cameras. So any snippets you created in version 3.3.2 are in this place: C:\Program Files\Cognex\In-Sight\In-Sight Explorer 3.3.2\Snippets If your like me, you uninstalled all the previous version except the key versions to keep....like version 2.7.1. If you uninstall your version 3.3.2, you'll lose all your custom Snippets you've saved. Be sure to backup your Snippets before uninstalling the old version....SIGH>>>>ARGHHHHHHHH I assume that if you copy the folder C:\Program Files\Cognex\In-Sight\In-Sight Explorer 3.3.2\Snippets\yoursnippets to this folder: C:\Program Files\Cognex\In-Sight\In-Sight Explorer 3.3.3\Snippets\yoursnippets you'll be ok before you uninstall the old version....anyway....
