ngoodman Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 Hi Is this possible? I am building a modular temperature monitoring system for a food factory - the temperature monitor sends alarm emails but no audible alarm or IP support I require a remote system to receive an email message and regardless of content process it as an alarm and on cancelling the alarm to send an email out notifying of the alrm condition The PLC will have the simple task of receiving the email sounding the alarms and notifying when the alarms have been cancelled / timed out programming side is fine is the comms requirement feasible?? JRoss Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 The FX3U with the Ethernet extension module should be able to do that. It can send and receive emails. Quote
Tixi-Support Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 (edited) Or you connect a Mitsubishi Alarm Modem MAM-AM / MAM-GM to the FX3. It will do the alarm and alarm acknowledge by itself. See MEU product link: http://www.mitsubishi-automation.co.uk/products/modems.html Edited February 7, 2007 by Tixi-Support Quote
