phenescm3 Posted February 17, 2007 Report Posted February 17, 2007 I was wondering if anybody could give me some suggestions on training for the Q -series system. I have had a little exposure to the Q-series processor with some vendor training but the information lacked motion focus. We are currently using JR2S drives(SCNET), QD75 positioning module, NETH, CC-link, and DeviceNet. I am interested in the motion basics, QD75M/JR3S, and/or Qmotion courses. I will be taken them in Illinois. I have worked with several integrated motion platforms includeing G&L, BeckHoff, and Rockwell. Our company is now involved a lot in Asia and we are seeing a push to move one way or the other (Rockwell Mitsubishi). I especially appreciate the adaptive tuning and active vibration cancellation within the new J3 systems. Of course price is becoming a greater concern and our current Rockwell systems were put in when money was less than a concern. I was wondering what is the general sentiment on the mitsubishi product line. I have had recent hardache from firmware revisions on the contrologix platform (they seem to keep coming) and tuning an application that could not use their autotune procedure. I would appreciate any info. Also has anybody used the ALPHA 2 controllers. We have just started utilizing them and for the price I have not seen better. Hopefully the rest of the product line performs as well. Craig Quote
Crossbow Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 Check the training schedule at www.meau.com. They offer classes on all of their products. The classes that would interest you the most would be the Q Motion Controller (they have one this week) and the servo classes MR-J3. I know they are working on training on the QD75 modules. As for the Alpha2, it's a nice little device for the price. I use one to control my outdoor lighting, pool pump, and xmas lights. Quote
