mr_electrician Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 Hi everyone, I was curious as to what programming software is available for Fanuc PLC's. We have a bunch of Fanuc PLC and Screens on our Fuji CNC Lathes. I can alter programs in the plc from the touch screen but I was just curious as to what is available. Thanks for the feedback. Quote
Steve Bailey Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 The old DOS software was called FAPT-Ladder. There is a ladder logic editor for CNCs available as an option with Proficy Machine Edition software. I can't tell you anything about the ability of the newer software to open a file created with the older. I presume the I/O modules are yellow? If so, they're nothing more than 90-30 I/O in a different color plastic housing. I've used the handheld programmer for the 90-30 to edit CNC ladder in a PowerMate Model H. The only problem is that the CNC model uses a different keyboard mask than the PLC version. Quote
mr_electrician Posted March 19, 2007 Author Report Posted March 19, 2007 The lathes use a Fanuc touch screen (30i), have fanuc I/O cards, and Fuji plc's. Quote
