Don't expect any support from Mitsubishi if you buy that. The tip-off is the fact that he's emailing it to you! (BTW.. Tell me that isn't the best Mitsubishi has to offer.. they must at least have a windows-based package by now?!)

Medoc a Dos based software has been has been available for almost 20 years. But has been discontinued for some time and replaced with the windows based G X Developer. G X Developer does not support the older Mitsubishi P.L.C.s such as the "F" series P.L.C.s. I am sure that what these people are doing is not legal because Mitsubishi will still have all licencing rights to this software. But how much effort Mitsubishi put into enforcing their rights I do not know. There does seem to be many internet sites that have this software available. Rodney

If you google enough you will find a Medoc Download somewhere out there, whether its legal or not is another issue... As for the old Medoc DOS software IMO GX Developer is not much better!!!!!

Well it's not legal, and I sent a copy to Mitsubishi's legal team. I see this guy has a new name, but he's done this before. I've seen the same listing before. There used to be another one trying to sell a couple PDFs of manuals and a free copy of FX-Win. Just because MEDOC is a dead product doesn't make it free. Oh well, there's always someone out there trying to make a fast buck (legal or not) and Ebay has hordes of them.

This is what always scares me about Ebay. For a person who is trying to get into the PLC market this may look legit. For example I requested the Omron CX1 30 day trial. It has expired but I was extremely impressed and would love to have a copy of it to work with. If you search on Ebay you can find it much cheaper than you can find it from Omron, but you know there has to be a catch. Say what you will but I feel your better off to purchase from the manufacturer than try to get a deal somewhere else. Crossbow - Like the new avatar - Wicked
