ifriarod Posted May 10, 2007 Report Posted May 10, 2007 Hi to all I have this PLC, arrange 1) M7 Processor CPU388-4 2) Expansion Module EXM 378-2 with VGA and LPT ports 3) Mass Storage Module MSM 378 4) Interface Module for Expansio Rack IM 365 5) DC Input DI16xDC24V 6) DC Input DC32xDC24V 7) DC Input/Output DI16/DO16x24V 8) DC Input/Output DI16/DO16x24V 9) DC Input/Output DI16/DO16x24V I am using a software Step-7 V5.4 SP1. When i try to upload the plc program to my pg, i just get the hardware config. and no more. In the EXM module i have connected a VGA screen, a keyboard, and a printer. In the screen I can see a HMI application, i think is in MSM module. How can i get the program? Is the M7 more actually than S-7 processor? I need to translate the program(s) of M7 to S-7. Thanks in advance. Isaias Frias Rodriguez Quote
JesperMP Posted May 10, 2007 Report Posted May 10, 2007 Hello ifriarod. I think that you have an unsolvable task. M7 is (was) totally different to S7. It is (was) a PC running programs developed with Borland C/C++. The M7 range has been discontinued. Maybe this manual can shed some light: https://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/l...cedownload=true I think that even if you could upload the program, it would be of no use to you, because it is compiled C/C++ code, not source code. Try to hunt down the source code from the original programmer. Quote
