Premium Hot Standby and profibus dp

Hi I would like to ask about working mode of Profibus module for Premium PLC. The thing is that we must create hot stanby configuration wirh PROFIBUS DP module on each rack/ The question is how does the profibus module works when the premium CPU is in stanby mode ? Is it workind like a during normal operation or is also in standby ? Best regards

Hi, I hope you are usnig Profibus for I/O communication. When working with Premium Standby systems, all I/O's are to be added to I/O drops and not the racks having the master/standby PLCs. The I/O communication takes place through FIPIO. If you already have the hardware for standby, then you must also be having a CD which contains all the relevant litreature. Go thru it, it is good. For configuring Profibus in Premium, you will need another software called Sycon, and the GSD file of the devices on Profibus.
