wire size

Does anyone know of a good reference file that would show what size wire to use inside control cabinets for different current ratings. Also, is there a standard for the color of wire that is used. I have been using brown for my -24v, blue for +24, and yellow for my inputs and orange for my outputs. The reason I started using brown and blue is because most of the sensors that we use are european color code and the brown goes to the + and the blue to the -. Any advice Thanks
