rswolff Posted September 29, 2007 Report Posted September 29, 2007 OK, another question for you GE Guru's Have a 90-30, customer was using Cimplicity. I was using Versapro and and upgraded to Proficy. I imported the Versapro folder into Proficy, went online and UPLOADED the program (as well as h/w, etc.) Still getting a Logic NE. Will I need to download the program into the processor? Thanks, bob
RussB Posted September 30, 2007 Report Posted September 30, 2007 Only if you want the bottom line to say "Logic Equal".
Chris Elston Posted September 30, 2007 Report Posted September 30, 2007 You could have an exact copy of the same program in four different GE flavors: LogicMaster VersaPro Cimplicity Proficy and in EACH ONE, you must download to the CPU. It downloads the "extra" stuff that pertains to the software you are using, as it was once explained to me.
rswolff Posted October 1, 2007 Author Report Posted October 1, 2007 it is as I expected..... many thanks to those out there in GE-LAND...... bob
Chris Elston Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 You know what....I wrote an ARTICLE about Logimaster to VersaPro once...here it is: http://www.mrplc.com/kb/index.php?page=ind...;id=69&c=22
rammin48 Posted October 31, 2007 Report Posted October 31, 2007 You have to be carefull if the old application is a hotbackup using Maxon. This requires tech support help and some experimentation. Beware! before converting to the new software.
