waynes Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 Hi All, I am currently busy with a project where we have to convert and old Siemens S5 program to a new CTi PLC. The CTi will be programmed using APT, which in itself is the problem. Does anyone have any links/ help for me with this software? I am currently using ver 1.9? which only runs on Windows 98 backwards... So, I am using Virtual PC 2007 for now. Anyone who can assist with this or even training would be appreciated. Quote
waynes Posted October 12, 2007 Author Report Posted October 12, 2007 Hi guys, I have been playing around a bit more with the APT software. Does anyone know of another utility to program this PLC with CFC's / SFC's? ANY help appreciated!!! Quote
Groo Posted October 12, 2007 Report Posted October 12, 2007 I have no idea what your asking for? Do you want help with the S5 program? if so what PLC is it and what software do you have. I have no idea what a CTi is? Quote
Groo Posted October 12, 2007 Report Posted October 12, 2007 (edited) Found this on another forum, so people there maybe able to help you. Other Forum and from this link CTi webpage I see its a replacement for a Texas 505 PLC. So unsure why your replacing a S5 PLC with it. They also have a CTi forum, which may help you too. Clay B. Posted October 12, 2007 Report Posted October 12, 2007 CTI is making a clone or what apperars to be a clone of the 505 series which used to be Texas Instrument then became a Siemens. Here is some info from Siemens on the 505 http://www2.sea.siemens.com/Products/Autom...TIC-505-Manuals I use TIsoft to access the 505s we have. Some are texas Instrument and some are Siemens. I know there are windows based versions of 505 software. I have never used any but have seen it. You might try a Google search on 505+Siemens+Software Let me know how it works out for you. I have bought power supplies from CTI for my 505's have not bought a CPU yet. I am curious how hard it is to convert over. Quote
