Connecting Mitsubishi FX PLC as slave to PC based Aspic

Hi folks.. I seem to be asking too many questions without answering an equal number from others. However what encourages me again and again to venture forth is the nature of my work which compels me to do so; and also the fact the geeks here don't seem to mind. A big thanks to this forum and all its constituency yet again, whether or not someone helps me out with this. So here goes... I have an ancient Mitsubishi FX-48MR which I'm to link up to an ASPIC application on winXP PC. The PLC has a 25 pin RS-422 port. The PC does have the usual DB-9 RS-232 port. In the Mitsubishi forum here, there's a copycat SC-09 cable (a million Pardons to Sergei Troizky, who's ideas have worked well for me!) Does this cable work between a FX as slave and PC And what is an available OPC server for the task??? Awaiting your answers and Ideas, I remain, Raj S. Iyer
