WKla Posted October 12, 2007 Report Posted October 12, 2007 Hello. I entered some data in the latch registers in the range D400 to D920 (settings for a machine). After some time when I turned on the machine those latch registers had random values. In the hardware manual of the FX1N PLC it says: "EEPROM keep: D128 to D255 Capacitor keep: D255 to D7999" So I realize that the cause for the lost of memory was the capacitor, that couldn't keep the memory enough time. Anybody knows any details about these capacitor latch registers? How much time the capacitor keeps the memory alive? Thank you. Quote
Paul Ked Posted October 12, 2007 Report Posted October 12, 2007 The capacitor keeps the values for a maximun of 10 days and requires 30 mins to fully charge. Best Regards Paul Ked Quote
WKla Posted October 12, 2007 Author Report Posted October 12, 2007 Thank you Paul Ked. What alternatives do I have? I use F930 GOT HMI from Mitsubishi. It is possible to use the HMI memory instead of the latch memory? Quote
Paul Ked Posted October 12, 2007 Report Posted October 12, 2007 I would use the EEPROM backed registers as these will retain the data indefinately (PLC must be powered up for at least 5mins) If there isn't enough capacity in the EEPROM then look to using recipes in the GOT. Paul Ked Quote
Sergei Troizky Posted October 12, 2007 Report Posted October 12, 2007 Install FX1N-BAT backup battery on the PLC. Quote
