Big Country Posted November 7, 2007 Report Posted November 7, 2007 Has anyone done a project similar to this. All I want to do is get to A series PLC's talking to each other via cc-link. If so could you possibly post some sample logic and parts #'s so I can get an idea of what it involves. Thanks in advance. Quote
Crossbow Posted November 8, 2007 Report Posted November 8, 2007 PLC to PLC communications is a process for a controller level network like MELSECNET. There are methods for making one PLC master and one slave, but the amount of data to share is limited. CC-Link is designed for communication to less intelligent devices like I/O and drives, not for PLC to PLC. I realize it can be done, but it's not the main focus of that type of network. Quote
thomas1000 Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 Hi Big Country, I have no experience of communication via two A series PLC's using CC Link but I have done an application using two Q Series PLC's with CC Link. The easiest way with an A Series is using Net B. Net B is not available for the Q series. Quote
