stephenrichardson Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 Hi, i have recently bought edesigner 7.31 and am trying to get to grips with it. I have a few questions: I have created a trend and was wondering if there was a way to include a legend without having to manually create it I cannot find a way of rotating objects, does a rotate function exist? I cannot find a way to make a line a dotted line, is there a function for this? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks. Quote
edda Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 Hi there... 1 question, I´m not sure what you mean with "legen" but i supuse you thinking about a list over the curves...in that case...no. 2... No. 3... No (dont think so any way, sorry). Quote
tragically1969 Posted November 15, 2007 Report Posted November 15, 2007 I dont think you can do this, I have just created my own at the bottom, i use text in a rectangle the same colour as the pen Do you mean rotate things dynamically on the page in runtime like a fan or to rotate a static graphic by x degrees in design ? If you want to rotate something on screen in runtime it can be done with a little bit of thought and fiddling !! I am not in front of the software at the moment so i dont know about the third, but if you only need one or two dotted lines create them in another graphics package and import it, you can also do this if you want to rotate a static symbol Quote
stephenrichardson Posted November 15, 2007 Author Report Posted November 15, 2007 I can't believe that this software has been created without fundamental functions such as line style and rotate. Thanks for your help though, much appreciated! Quote
thomas1000 Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 Hi Stephen, If you want to rotate a symbol in an E1000 Project go to the folder that bolts on to your HMI File and open up the Symbols Folder. Open up the required Symbol in MS Paint, Edit and Save. You can then paste it into your project. In the old terminal you can edit in the symbol manager which can be located in the View tab. Quote
