Just thinking aloud guys... The "correct" way of counting high speed pulses (@1 Khz max), such as from pulse-output flow-meters would be to use the Counter modules such as CTY-..CTZ which are capable of counting at high speed without the scan-cycle time as a singificant consideration. Now that a 'Fast" version of the DEY Input modules is available eg. DEY16F2K , and given that it can be assigned an "event' (say EVT0) for processing, it is theoretically possible to count the number of times the interrupt has been accessed by placing an operator block instruction inside the EVT0 routine. Has anyone tried out this thing before? Even those who have'nt are welcome with their opinion. A million thanks in advance. Regards, best wishes Raj S. Iyer
