sas11 Posted December 2, 2007 Report Posted December 2, 2007 Does anyone know the pin connections so I could make a communication cable or a place to purchase a reasonably priced one. The cable kit at automation direct is $95 seems like that is to much?
Crossbow Posted December 2, 2007 Report Posted December 2, 2007 You think $95 is too much for a cable, you should see some of the others on the market. Some vendors have cables well over $300.
sas11 Posted December 3, 2007 Author Report Posted December 3, 2007 does that make not ok to try some other way to get a cable just what is the purpose of this forum. You are the most negative reply person that I has ever seen.
Mickey Posted December 3, 2007 Report Posted December 3, 2007 (edited) It might help if you state which PLC you are using. Or go here: ( the info is free) http://web1.automationdirect.com/adc/Manua...og/PLC_Hardware Edited December 3, 2007 by Mickey
b_carlton Posted December 3, 2007 Report Posted December 3, 2007 Go here and scroll down to 'programming cables'
5p6d Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 The pinout can be found on the Automation Direct website, somewhere :) I found it one day and made a cable with an old phone cord and it works great! Good Luck! Mark
roscho Posted May 6, 2008 Report Posted May 6, 2008 if you did not find the pinout for one of automation direct cables here is the link http://web2.automationdirect.com/static/sp...tsoftcables.pdf good for dl05,06 105,205,d3-350 and d4-450
scadametrics Posted February 6, 2010 Report Posted February 6, 2010 If you want to build DLxx cables very inexpensively (~$8)... Buy one of these RJ12 cables: http://www.l-com.com/search.aspx?q='td...9;&join=All eg TDC027-2 And buy this: http://www.l-com.com/item.aspx?id=2447 (db9-female) or http://www.l-com.com/item.aspx?id=2449 (db9-male) Then configure the plug-in pins, and you're set. That's how we make our DLxx cables at my company. Hope this helps!
geniusintraining Posted April 4, 2010 Report Posted April 4, 2010 We have them.... in the USB version also http://www.plctrainer.net/PLCProgrammingCables.htm
