Guest Wouter Posted December 18, 2003 Report Posted December 18, 2003 Hi I've never worked with Siemens, but I was wondering if it's possible with an S5 PLC to establish a PC-PLC connection with it, in order to retrieve information about I/O's on your computer. And if it's possible, what protocol do I need to "talk" to the PLC? I just want to make a program that allows you to control inputs, outputs, coils,... (in Visual Basic 6.0) Can anybody help me with that? Thank you!
Guest david vinch Posted January 2, 2004 Report Posted January 2, 2004 Yuo might look at a book called Home Automation Basics by Thomas E. Leonik I bought mine at overstock.com for cheap. its all about vb6 and micrologix 1000 but the author says it will all work with any plc that communicates serially Dave
