Alan Wain Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 I have an application that will be using incremental encoders and a H4-CTRIO card to monitor motor shaft speed. One revolution of the motor shaft = 1.2" of movement of product on rollers driven by the motor. Can anyone help with code required to track this movement? I'm using a DL450 CPU. Thanks in advance.
b_carlton Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 I always use the CTRIO WB (workbench) in the launch window of DirectSOFT. It leads you through the setup and, once you provide it with target base registers, provides the location of all relevant register names. These can be exported from the CTRIO WB and imported into yourr program for automatic documentation. Using that plus the CTRIO manual should get you well on your way.
