edda Posted March 14, 2008 Report Posted March 14, 2008 (edited) Hi All... I have a realy serious problem. Everything started like this, a firm called us and said, we need help our machine (plastic blowup machine). We found out that one of the slaves on the profibus was not working (a beckhoff node). We didnt have (and still dont have a backup from the machinebuilder) but only a onlinebackup that a guy did a month ago. So what we did was to try to replace the beckhoff slave with a simens (only like 10 digital I/O). So in the hardware we swithed everything to our siemens slave and then we downloaded (we did the changes in the onlinebackup, becuse its all we got). But after downloading the hardware the cpu cant reach two other slaves on the profibus network. 1. A controller for the hydraulic, a Moog Controller (something like CPU 60D, D143). 2. A keyboard for the controller (D143). Well infact when we downloaded the new hardware all the other Beckhooff slaves where not able to connect... but we downloaded the GSD files for this from internet and downloaded and then they were ok. But the problem remains whit the two other, do anyone have any GSD files for any MOOG Controller (longshot i know, cant find any on the internet). The Cpu is a 413... Can we get something out from the onlinebackup that we have? Its weekend now so we cant get intouch whit the machinebuilder or Moog. Please help...and fast Edited March 14, 2008 by edda
JesperMP Posted March 15, 2008 Report Posted March 15, 2008 (edited) Hi edda. I tried to see if I could find something, but no luck. Moogs homepage is quite poor. And it doesnt help that Moog is the name of a popular synthesizer. Makes it very hard to sift through all the possible hits. Edit: And Moog is not listed on www.profibus.org ! Mike Dyble Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 I know this may be a bit late now, but GSD files are actually ascii text files that can be opened and saved with notepad, it is therefore possible to edit/alter an existing file. Have a look at the structure of the files, I think that you will see that there is not a great deal to them. If you made a copy of the online back up before the mods then there may be enough info in this copy to recreate the file, or at least enough of it to get things away.
