Simatic / Protool v5.2 License Help

Someone want to take a stab at helping this plant manager out? Got an e-mail from him. We had a hard drive crash. We went to the manufaturer that supplied the machine and the computer that operates our machine and asked them for a copy of the soft ware to load on a new hard drive.We have done that but now a message comes up that it is a demo version. When I contacted them about this , they told us to go to Authors W to get a license for this. Can some one help guide me through this to get his taken care of the right way. I would contact Siemens directly, they can walk him through the licensing process providing he has the original licensing disk or can prove ownership.

And then have a look at a recent thread regarding back-ups, however I am not sure if Acronis will back-up harddrives with AuthorSW software, I have only used it with Automation License Manager keys which Acronis will back up.
