jogra Posted June 17, 2008 Report Posted June 17, 2008 Dear all I bought a Mitsubishi Melsec PLC with a A2UsCPU-S30 but, being a beginner with PLC, I’m struggling to start with basic programs. I can find lots of documentation where the inputs with labels starting with X and outputs starting with Y however i have a simple doubt. How can i assign the digital inputs of my digital input card A1SX80 installed in the slot 0 with the X labels? And how to assign to the digital output card channels my data labeled as Y? ? Thanks for your support JG
Goody Posted June 18, 2008 Report Posted June 18, 2008 In plc parameters/parameters go to I/O assignment and there you can tell it what you have plugged in in which slot If you put a 16 input unit in slot '0' then your inputs will start X0 - XF If you put a 16 output unit in slot 1 then your outputs will be Y10 - Y1F
Crossbow Posted June 19, 2008 Report Posted June 19, 2008 Addressing is covered in the programming manual for the CPU. The number of addresses allocated depend on the cards before it in the PLC rack. As stated, the addresses on the first 16 points are 0-F, and if it is an input card, that would be X0-XF. The next 16 points are 10-1F, and the next 20-2F, etc. So depending on the module type those addresses are prefixed with X or Y.
