whitenight Posted July 21, 2008 Report Posted July 21, 2008 How can I remove the Citect Runtime Icon from the system tray/taskbar so users cannot access it (I.E. 2x click on it)
Fredrix Posted July 21, 2008 Report Posted July 21, 2008 One thing you could do is to run Runtime Manager as shell. By doing it that way Explorer is not running at all, and the icon is not visible - nothing for the user to click at
Fredrix Posted July 21, 2008 Report Posted July 21, 2008 Open Windows registry editor - Run -> Regedit Navigate to the following key [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] "Shell"="Explorer.exe" Change Explorer.exe to your path to Citect Runtime Manager The next time the computer boots up, Citect Runtime Manager will be started instead of explorer
whitenight Posted July 21, 2008 Author Report Posted July 21, 2008 thats not what im looking for, I still want the users to have access to the desktop just not the Citect runtime icon in the taskbar/system tray
