Abra Posted August 3, 2008 Report Posted August 3, 2008 Hello, First post here. I have an E900 HMI. I want to have my alarms post to one of my blocks when they are tripped. Has anyone managed to do this, or does anyone have any ideas how to go about it. I was under the impression this would be a faily easy task, but it has stumpped me to this point. Thanks
Goody Posted August 3, 2008 Report Posted August 3, 2008 Can you define what you mean by 'post to one of my blocks' If you mean you want different alarms to automatically open a certain page, this can be done in the page setup using the 'display signal'
Veganic Posted August 3, 2008 Report Posted August 3, 2008 Or do you mean the info block which is accessed via the alarms block by pressing the 'info' button? This is where you go to the alarms page, highlight the alarm and press the 'info' button to go the the block linked to the alarm? Personally I wouldn't want alarms to automatically jump to a new block. This tends to make the panel appear to have a mind of it's own and drives operators mad.
Abra Posted August 3, 2008 Author Report Posted August 3, 2008 There is a page that is always up while the machine is running. I would like to have the alarms post to this page. Thanks for the help
Veganic Posted August 3, 2008 Report Posted August 3, 2008 (edited) Any alarm will show the 'alarm bell' in the top right of the page. Have you tried an alarm banner? Edited August 3, 2008 by Veganic
Abra Posted August 4, 2008 Author Report Posted August 4, 2008 I do get the bell already. I'm not sure how to change it to a banner, but I will check it out today. Thanks for all the help
Veganic Posted August 4, 2008 Report Posted August 4, 2008 Object -> alarm banner. It is as well as the bell not instead of, I think.
