MuttsNutts Posted August 10, 2008 Report Posted August 10, 2008 Hiyo. I have added a page to the RSView Studio SE edition. It contains a trend with 6 pens and the legend underneath. I have used my own buttons at the bottom to scroll a page forward, backwards (etc) and used Visual Basic as the engine behind this. I have added 3 more buttons: [1hr] [4hrs] and [12hrs] and these change the trend to the timeframe as identified by the buttons (again using VB and the object explorer to find the appropriate events to use). However, this has thrown up a problem. When I select [12hrs] there is a delay whilst the trend goes and gets the data and if another button is pressed (the Operator thinks nothing is happening) then this can "hang". I've turned on the dialogue box that says the trend is updating (although this is not "modal" so can disappear behind the application window) so that helps. But, I was wondering if there was any way to hide the buttons whilst the trend is fetching its data - I cannot find a member of any class for the TRENDX object to facilitate this. The nearest I get is to use the HistoricalDataRequested event, and I can turn off the buttons when this fires, but I have no way of turning them back on again as I do not know when this has completed. (How do I get to all this?) Right click on yer new button Select VBA Code (Takes you to the development environment) Select Object Browser Have a gander at the classes and attributes (etc) for TRENDX Any help is appreciated.
