Help writing macro for an HMi.

Hello everybody. I have found this forum to be very helpful and after browsing around I gathered some courage to ask a noobie question I am trying to program an EATON HMi to control EMERSON DX-480 servo-drive. All it needs to do is connect to the drive through a serial port and send "PR24" string in ASCII code with a press of a single button to the drive. (pr24 envokes an indexing program in a servo-drive for hole punching by the way) I am very new to the automation scene but do have a background in computer science. It looks like I'll be sticking around for help here, since I got a job in a metal fabricating plant. Thanks for the help in advance -Greg. Edited August 14, 2008 by ggb
