pr2501 Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 (I have just downladed GX-develpoper-Fx from MR PLC) I work with other PLC (i have to resolve one (probably never again)problem where i have Mitsubishi PLC), so i need simple answers for quick start. Thank You for understanding. 1. How can i copy program (from editor window) to Microsoft word. Because i need to print it from another PC where i don't have GX-develpoper-Fx? 2. What cable do i need to connect PC to PLC? (can i get some picture of connector? I have many types of cables and maybe right cable too.I hope that i would not have to make it from myself) 3. To be online is it a right way: Online>Monitor>Monitor mode (F3)
pr2501 Posted September 25, 2008 Author Report Posted September 25, 2008 Just another question: Demo Software :: GX-Developer FX 8.25 1000step does have time limit of use and/or other limitations?
Sergei Troizky Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 (edited) 1. No way to copy as you mean it. Perform printout from GX-Developer to file (for example use CutePDF software http://www.cutepdf.com/Products/CutePDF/writer.asp to print to .pdf file). 2. Beijer SC-09 cable sold by Mitsubishi distributors or its aftermarket equivalent. See also http://forums.mrplc.com/index.php?showtopic=609&hl= Also, you can install optional RS232 port and use standard null-modem cable on many PLC models (you never specified yours). 3. Yes, if you need to monitor. 4. 1000 steps is actually the limitation. Edited September 25, 2008 by Sergei Troizky
Crossbow Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 That about sums it up. You can't copy ladder to Microsoft Word. Word wouldn't know what to make of it. Print to PDF and print the PDF somewhere else. One more limitation of that software was of course it is only for the FX family (all models beginning with FX, keeping in mind 8.25 does not program latest processors). Will not communicate with A or Q Series, and 1000 steps is a pretty small program by most standards. If the program in the PLC exceeds that, you can't view the whole program.
