Grim Tinn Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 Hello Folks I have a Q Series PLC which acts as a HUB to 4 CCL networks with numerous Q Series and Fx3 PLC's on them. The HUB PLC has an ethernet module in it which connects to the site network and OPC server. I can configure the Transfer page to allow me to program and monitor the Q Series PLC's on the CCL networks. However I can not configure the Fx3 Transfer Setups to allow me to do the same. The ideal is to access all PLC's via the HUB PLC as the chair in my office is rather comfortable. If you can help or give advise, you will me more helpful than my supplier and I would be very greatful indeed. Thank you for your time Grim
Veganic Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 From the knowledgebase: This should really be made more explicit in some of the other documentation.
Grim Tinn Posted October 18, 2008 Author Report Posted October 18, 2008 While it's not good news I appreciate your speedy response, I will have to look at the rather expensive Ethernet option. Again thanks Grim
Crossbow Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 FX3U-ENET on the FX3U is the best option for remote programming.
Grim Tinn Posted December 18, 2008 Author Report Posted December 18, 2008 Sorry for delay, been up to my eyes in it. We are in fact looking at the Ethernet option as a backup for data collection. The unit are rather expensive and for what a 2 bob chip and a plastic box. Thanks for the advice.
