Need help. We have a new Fanuc robotic controller R-J3iB. Right out the box it's giving us a SRVO - 006 Fault. Thanks for any help you guys can give. Alan Akers A & M Electric

Hi Alan: That is a Hand Broken Alarm: SRVO-006 SERVO Hand broken Cause: A safety hand has broken. If no broken hand can be found, however, the most likely cause is the HBK signal of a robot connection cable being at the 0 V level. Remedy: 1. While holding down the SHIFT key, press the alarm release button to clear the alarm. 2. While holding down the SHIFT key, position the tool to the workplace by jogging. 1) Replace the safety hand. 2) Check the cable. 3. Check cable RP1 for loose connection, damaged pins, or damaged cable. 4. Replace the servo amplifier. Generally if you are not using hand feed back on your end tooling, you can disable this option in the teach pendant so that it ignores the hand signal.
