Guest Jeff Kenny Posted July 24, 2002 Report Posted July 24, 2002 Hello world I've been given an old MELSEC FX-48ER, but to use it I need an interface cable. Can anyone give me the connection diagram for RS232 comms? Thanks JeffK Quote
chrisbramall Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 From memory I don't think that the FX-48ER supports RS232 directly. If I remember rightly the programming lead is a RS422-RS232 convertor but i'm not sure as it's a while since I used the Mitsi. Quote
Guest kryswilk Posted August 2, 2002 Report Posted August 2, 2002 FX-48ER is an extention unit and it cannot be programmed. You need a base unit, for example FX-48MR that is connected to your unit. Than you need a cable with RS232 to RS422 converter to program it. Quote
Guest Guest Posted September 15, 2002 Report Posted September 15, 2002 As the other have said, you have an extention unit, not a programmable PLC (There is no cpu in the extention units) if you manage to get the main unit, the cable you need is the SC-09 Quote
