JDHammond Posted February 19, 2010 Report Posted February 19, 2010 We are running five A975 GOT's on our line and one 1000 GOT. We had one 975 fail but we had a spare. Can you convert the 975 program into a 1000? Does GT Converter convert the 975 program to the 1000 or do I have to rewrite the whole program in a 1000? Thanks
Crossbow Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 Don't even need GT Converter. Just open the project in GTD2 and change the GOT type. It will take care of it all. GT Converter2 is for the 800GOT terminals.
JDHammond Posted February 22, 2010 Author Report Posted February 22, 2010 (edited) I read over the Technical Bulletin and it gave me the recommended replacement for the screen. I also have a CCLink Data Unit for the 975 and I will have to purchase the recommended communication module. Will that be simply changing the wires over to the new module mounted on back of the GOT or is it more involved? Thanks for the information! Edited February 22, 2010 by JDHammond
Crossbow Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 The most major difference will be you can configure all the comm settings in the project and send them to the GOT, instead of having to configure them via the GOT once its powered up. Should be fairly straightforward.
JDHammond Posted February 25, 2010 Author Report Posted February 25, 2010 Ok, as soon as I get my Com module in I will give it a try! Thanks!
