Goody Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 I keep having to go to some old machines that have FX0n 40's in em. They are adding new features and call me each time they want alterations done. The plc is located at floor level in a deep box and it is a proper pain to keep getting on my stomach and crawl in this box with my dodgy eye sight and keep flicking the run switch to off - to download the new alterations. Now I am nearly sure a long while ago I used to program an FX0n and I could program online by setting a special relay. I seem to remember that it stopped the plc while updating and then restarted it after downloading - and that would be fine. But I cant find this special relay in the help section and a user manual is long gone. Can anyone remember which it was. You'll make an old creaky man very happy :)
Goody Posted March 3, 2010 Author Report Posted March 3, 2010 ahh, thank you. I dont know why i missed that one and M8035 surely rings a bell. I havnt got a FX0n to play with here but I seem to think that just enabling M8035 allows me to download and the software asking me if it's ok to stop the plc - then when its downloaded, asking if its ok to start it again. Even if not, I have the methods now. Phew, I was up and down crawling in that box, my programming cable was in the way, it was dark in there, I was using a little screwdriver to flick it up and down just to put 2 more 10ths on a timer lol. I shall let you know just what and how next time I go
bobtalbot Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 (edited) These are great for those dark cabinets, It has a magnetic back and with a cordset you can use it like a flashlight that never leaves the cabinet. Super bright too! WL50F.pdf Edited March 3, 2010 by bobtalbot
