LeDude Posted April 12, 2010 Report Posted April 12, 2010 How do you guys do version control with your programs? Well yes, you can save your program after every change, but is there a version control software out there which works with GX Developer? I tried CVS ( http://www.nongnu.org/cvs/ ), but it doesn't see the files, or am I missing something? Input is appreciated. Thanks
Gambit Posted April 12, 2010 Report Posted April 12, 2010 (edited) Instead of looking at a third party program, maybe you should consider upgrading to GX2 it has version control implemented. That way you can compare offline versions etc. http://forums.mrplc.com/index.php?showtopic=16559 Edited April 12, 2010 by Gambit
LeDude Posted April 12, 2010 Author Report Posted April 12, 2010 Mmh, you mean MELSOFT GX Works2? http://www.meau.com/eprise/main/sites/publ...tware/GX_Works2
Gambit Posted April 12, 2010 Report Posted April 12, 2010 (edited) yes. There are a bunch of people on this forum which are testing it, you can ask there opinion. or download the tutorials it will give you a feel of the new software. Edited April 12, 2010 by Gambit
Crossbow Posted April 12, 2010 Report Posted April 12, 2010 GX Works2 has built in revision control. For the old software, there was a third party who offered something, though the name escapes me at the moment. Did you search the forums first? It's in here somewhere.
LeDude Posted April 13, 2010 Author Report Posted April 13, 2010 Thanks, guys. Appreciate it. I think I'll then just get GX Works2.
