PdL Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 Hi All, I recently commissioned a CX-Supervisor V3 system using Finsgateway 2003 to talk to 20 hosts using FINS UDP, running on a Indumicro 19" rack computer. This all runs good. Now on the same system I installed CX-One 4.1 (OEE DVD image), where I only selected CX-Programmer, CX-Inegrator, CX-Designer and Cx-Simulator. Installation all ran ok. Here's a system summary: Now when I tried to open the CX-Programmer project the following happens: For each PLC that is loaded I get this error: (20 times) When the project finishes loading I get the following error: When trying to get online with any PLC I get this error: The very same project runs fine on mine and my colleagues commissioning laptops. I checked the system time in Windows and BIOS, no problem there. I tried uninstalling CX-One using the latest CX-One remover 1010, reboot, ran CCleaner to clean out the remains of CX-One in the registry, reinstalled CX-One 4.1. No difference. If there is anyone who can confirm CX-One does not run well on a Xeon system or can confirm it does, please let me know. Any other suggestions or comments are highly appreciated. Thanks!
electron Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 Seem the application too heavy for the processor, many times i use cx simulator from cx one 3.5 , on dual-core processor 1.7Ghz when running a big application , the simulator stop or said it can communicate with virtual plc if reduce as much as possible other application that running not show good result, than you should overclock the PC or use a fater one
PdL Posted December 19, 2010 Author Report Posted December 19, 2010 Thanks, but it is running on an Intel Core 2 Quad 2.5 GHz processor with 2 GB DDRII-800 RAM so I see no problem there. Besides, same CXP file runs ok on several systems which are not particular beasts. To me it seems there is some kind of compability problem, but I need to get this confirmed.
Jay Anthony Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 Does you bios have hyper-threading turned on? I run Dual Xeon processors and have it turned off.
PdL Posted December 19, 2010 Author Report Posted December 19, 2010 I would have to check Jay, but thanks for the tip. So far no word from Omron, it has been sent to Japan. Unfortunately I don't know when I will be on site again, and we don't have an internet connection yet for remote support. I will let you know once I get on site again.
PdL Posted December 20, 2010 Author Report Posted December 20, 2010 Funny detail: Japan came with an answer... which is found on this forum Even funnier, I once replied in this topic myself... Not sure when I will be able to test but I will let you guys know!
