Michael Lloyd Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 I've recently had a couple of "opportunities" to upload the program from an older 90-30 PLC and in both cases the 90-30 faulted and required a power cycle to bring it back online when I tried to go online with it. I was using Proficy 5.5 the first time and 6.0 the second time. The cable that I used was the same cable that I connect to the Versamax line of PLC's. Thankfully neither fault caused the customer any problems. I was trying to recover the program for them so I could document it and then send them a copy of it. The original was lost years ago. Is there a special method or secret handshake that I need to know to upload data from the 90-30?
RussB Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 This is typical behavior when trying to upload from a CPU with firmware that is not supported by Proficy. You may need to use LM90 to do the upload, and I recommend investing in a firmware upgrade.
