Sergei Troizky Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 (edited) What does NO SYNC in the status bar mean? Is it described in any manual (have not found myself)? Sometimes, the SYNC status instantaneously (but repeatedly) changes to NO SYNC. If this happens during online editing of a rung or device comment, the cursors jumps to the beginning of the comment, which is very annoying and makes the editing almost impossible. BobB Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 The only thing that occurs to me is the program in the PC and the program in the PLC are not synched - not the same. Could it be something to do with your settings re 'alert if program not the same' or something like 'prohibit online operations'? I have turned all that stuff off as I always compare the program in the PC and PLC before doing anything anyway. Matter of routine.
Sergei Troizky Posted January 17, 2011 Author Report Posted January 17, 2011 (edited) Thank you, ECSI This is very interesting information. Where is this described, by the way? Also, not clear, why should it affect comment online editing? Edited January 17, 2011 by Sergei Troizky
ECSI Posted January 17, 2011 Report Posted January 17, 2011 The link is underlined in my reply above. That was all the info available that I could find in the myKnowledge section. I have a feeling the Sync/No Sync is unrelated to your online edit issue but I am not sure.
