canalier Posted March 21, 2011 Report Posted March 21, 2011 Hi, I want to do an ATEX compliant machine with display. Now the program already exists but I can't use an Omron display because they are not ATEX compliant. Omron says that I can use another display but it needs to communicate with Hostlink or NT-Link protocol. Are these especialy Omron protocols or are there other displays which communicate with these protocols? Do you know some ATEX compliant displays which can communicate with OMRON PLC CJ1M? Thanks for the answers and greets Dominic
BITS N BYTES Posted March 21, 2011 Report Posted March 21, 2011 (edited) Try Google. When you find a unit you like check if it has Omron drivers. http://www.plctalk.n...ead.php?t=46442 http://www.profaceamerica.com/cms/news/3150fda3303b82cb/index.html Edited March 21, 2011 by BITS N BYTES
canalier Posted March 21, 2011 Author Report Posted March 21, 2011 thank you my unpolite amy-friend. I've tried it with google but i could not find any satisfied result. my problem was that I did not know what i had to look for if I want to use another display. I thought I have to install the new display driver into the Omron PLC... But I just have to use a display with Omron drivers. Thx :)
BITS N BYTES Posted March 21, 2011 Report Posted March 21, 2011 You are MOST welcome. If you bothered to do a little more research on the links I posted you would see that ProFace supports OMRON protocol. http://www.profaceamerica.com/cms/resource_library/products/16ffa7e0942d86cb/index.html#display_connectivity You can use the same approach with other manufacturers.
svn Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 Hi canalier, Try Bartec displays. I have used Bartec many times. They have Host Link driver. I don't know their latest developments, but the original driver was for C series PLCs. We have used this driver successfully with C200H Alpha and CS1. They have Windows based screen development software. R.Stahl also have Host Link for serial and FINS for ethernet. 1) http://www.bartec.de/homepage/eng/20_produkte/130_automatisierung/s_20_130_100.shtml 2) http://www.r-stahl.com/products-and-systems/operating-and-monitoring-systems/operator-interfaces-eagle.html Hope this helps.
