String lenthg in GX Developer IEC Mitsubishi

Hi Gents, What is the maximum allowed Stgring lenth in the GX Devloper IEC Global variable definition. I have a string which is 17 characters, when i try and move data using the String_MoV_M instruction only 16 characters get transferred. Is the limitation in the definition of the string or the String_Mov_M funtion. Has anyone managed to move large amount of characters. Rheinhardt

The 16-character limitation is only the "monitor mode" limitation. The actual string data that is being moved will contain all your characters. You can change the monitor limitation under Extras->Options: Edited March 22, 2011 by kaare_t
