Bert Twildge Posted April 4, 2011 Report Posted April 4, 2011 Hi I need to use a Windows command line based ModBus master to poll a thermostat periodically to set values. I want to be able to poll the thermostat via a windows command line to change the setpoint temperature. I don't want a windows interface, just a command line so the utility can be called from a batch file, or a VB script. The ModBus device I wish to control is accessed via RS-485 and I have a RS-232 to RS-485 adapter for this project. I currently run ModPoll to read other values from the thermostat but ModPoll is unable to write values. Are you aware of a command line based ModBus master that can write values? I have googled this request but I can't find a utility to perform the action I require. Thanks
