B_THEUS Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 (edited) I am new to working with Mitsubishi. Following a manual, I downloaded A985GOT Bios Ver. 9.4.0 to the A985GOT-TBA. The display said to reboot when I was done. After I rebooted, the display was blank and it kept beeping twice at me every couple of seconds. Is there a way to restore factory defaults? The screen is blank, not even the backlight is on. The unit is transmitting beeps in a series of seven then a delay. The sequence is Beep-Beep-Beep, Beep-Beep, Beep-Beep. That must mean something. Crossbow Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 Never heard of it making beep codes like that. Have you tried to download a program to it since the firmware upgrade?
B_THEUS Posted April 14, 2011 Author Report Posted April 14, 2011 The original download of BIOS was done via an RS-232 null modem cable. No attempts with the null modem cable have been successful since the BIOS download. I now have the pin out for the Mitsubishi recommended RS-232C cable. This morning I will attempt to re-install the BIOS via PCMCIA card. If that doesn't work I will make up an RS-232C cable.
