plcdp Posted May 11, 2011 Report Posted May 11, 2011 Hello, I have an old MTA-G1 HMI that is failing on one of our older machines. The machine maker tells me he can't get parts for it and doesn't have any old parts to fix it with either. He suggested going to an E series HMI, but if we are going to go that route I would like to use a GOT. We build our own machines now and the GOT is my screen of choice, and a standard part so we would already have a spare on hand. My question is this: Is there a cable that will connect a GT1665M-VTBD with an old FX2-16MS PLC??? It has a big honkin com port on the front of it. If anybody knows if the two can be interfaced, and with what cable I would greatly appreciate the help. Thanks very much, plcdp
Crossbow Posted May 12, 2011 Report Posted May 12, 2011 The GOT1000 Connection Manual covers this connection. You certainly can connect a GT16 to an FX2.
plcdp Posted May 12, 2011 Author Report Posted May 12, 2011 Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. plcdp
