CX programmer 9 not responding when connects to CQM1

I have a problem with an OMRON PLC. It is already programmed, and i want to clear its program and re-program it. But when it connects with the PC, the CX-Programmer 9.0 software is not responding, and only blinking with the message: "Error on PLC1. Check Error log" Why does this happens? How can I just stop it from running, clear all the program and re-program it? Thanks in advance.

Check the commnication cable.

I believe that if you are getting the error as described the cable is probably OK. You need to check the error log.
