DIRECT SOFT 5 HELP!

WHEN I FIRST OPEN THE DIRECTSOFT 5 ON THE LEFT OF MY SCREEN WERE YOU SEE PROJECTS MY PROJECTS USE TO BE THERE UNDER THE PROJECT TREE BUT NOW THEY ARE NOT WHERE DID THEY GO ?

Take a breath ... The projects themselves probably didn't go anywhere., unless of course you deleted them. Were they all under one folder and, if so, did you rename that folder? If so then Directsoft is merely indicating that it can't find them at the original path any more. Try right-clicking 'Projects' and browsing for one of the projects. You'll probably find it. Opening then closing it will add it to the list. See if that helps. Another way this can happen is if the DS500.ini file is edited, as available above the projects listing, and the paths are removed from that file then it is saved. When Directsoft next opens it finds no projects paths in the 'ini' file so it doesn't list any. Edited November 30, 2011 by b_carlton

Thanks for your help i found my programs the path had been changed but now when i go to save changes i get an error that says Can Not Create Back Up Folder any help would be appreciated thanks agian

Open your DS500.ini for editing. About 2/3 of the way down under [PATHS] is a path to where the auto backups can be created. Make sure that path exists and is writable. Fix if any problems, save the DS500.ini. Close then re-open Direcsoft. You might review the default project dirtectory while you are there. Edited December 1, 2011 by b_carlton

This is my [PATHS] section in my DS500.ini. Notice that the paths are full directory path names not just a single word. [PATHS] PROJECT PATH=C:\DirectSOFT5\Projects\ AutoBackupEnable=1 BACKUP PATH=C:\DirectSOFT5\Projects\Backup\ MaxAutoBackups=4 MaxBackups=4
