And there was a package called Step 7 Basic which is a free download from Siemens, and it can program S7-300, just not the networks. Not sure that's the same Step 7 Basic used for the S7-1200. I haven't seen the S7-1200 software yet.
Homer_BL Posted March 7, 2012 Report Posted March 7, 2012 Software for S7-1200 is a TIA portal (act. version is V11 SP2). Read S7-300 program and simultaneously write a new S7-1200 program. You can open both in TIA portal.
