CJ1W-ETN21 OR CJ1W-EIP21

Hi all, i have CJ1M and cognex 4g7 vision system (sensing camera) and the product guide of 4G7 vision camera says it can communicate with PLC in 2ways- ETHERNET/IP with AOP and profinet. the vision system has got ethernet cable. i am confused either to buy ETN21 or EIP21. Thanks for any help

CJ1W-ETN21 does NOT support Ethernet I/P or Profinet CJ1W-EIP21 supports Ethernet I/P CJ1W-PNT21 is a Profibus IO Controller unit for CJ series. There is no unit that does both Ethernet I/P and Profinet.

One other thing to verify. Make sure that Cognex can supply an eds file for the unit you are using. Omron E/IP requires (as per the specification) that you have an eds file for the device. Some manufacturers don't follow the specs. Hope this will help.
