Pavan Posted April 19, 2012 Report Posted April 19, 2012 Hi there, Can you anyone help me on how to connect multiple D700 Mitsubishi Inverters to FX3U PLC? Please let me know what are the cables required to connect the setup. Thanks in Advance Pavan Quote
kaare_t Posted April 19, 2012 Report Posted April 19, 2012 How should the inverter work? Multiple speeds or a single start/stop? Normal/reversed/both directions? We need some more info.... Quote
Crossbow Posted April 19, 2012 Report Posted April 19, 2012 You can do RS485 serial communications and connect multiple drives. But if you want to do digital I/O signals, follow the wiring indicated in the drive manual. Controlling more than one drive simply means repeating the wiring and using more PLC inputs and outputs. Pavan Posted April 20, 2012 Author Report Posted April 20, 2012 It should run at multiple speeds in both the directions. Thanks, Pavan Quote
kaare_t Posted April 20, 2012 Report Posted April 20, 2012 Then you'll have to wire using digital outputs on the PLC, according to the manual (using only digital signals, and excluding power supply and reference point): STF -> Start forward STR -> Start reverse RH -> High speed RM -> Middle speed RL -> Low speed Alternatively you can use start/stop digital, and speed using analog signal: STF -> Sart forward STR -> Start reverse 2/4/5 -> 4-20mA / 0-10V and reference A third option is to use Modbus (RS485): RDA/RDB -> Inverter receive SDA/SDB -> Inverter send Quote
