Siemens 315-2 dp reconfiguration

Hello guys Its my first time on this site. I have a existing Siemens 315-2 dp PLC connected to a TP177 HMI and other Expansion modules (analog,digital IOs). There is no profibus master(dp) in the hardware configuration. i want to reconfigure the hardware the PLC i.e. add CP343-1 assign an ip address to it and connect a slave to the PLC. How can i do this without changing the PLC code. Should i delete the CPU in the hardware configuration and insert it again. Thanks

What kind of slave are you using? If you have a free slot in the PLC rack, the 343 should just drop in in your hardware config.

The Prosonic FMU95 module (from Endress and Hauser) is a new slave and i want to set the PLC 315-2 DP as a master, add a CP 343-1 and assign an IP address to it without making changes to other slaves that are currently connected to the PLC.

I think you should be able to add the module without affecting other slaves. I've never dealt with this particular setup, though. Hopefully an expert will chime in soon...
