mhi Posted June 15, 2012 Report Posted June 15, 2012 Dear All, I already run my MEDOC software for 3 month (together with PLC A2A programming) in window XP previously. However, when I try to run my MEDOC software yesterday, the popup error as per attach will appear. I couldn't run/open the MEDOC software anymore. Hope anyone could consult me what I can do to fix this kind of problem. Thanks. Quote
Gambit Posted June 15, 2012 Report Posted June 15, 2012 Looks like a window crash have you re installed the software? Quote
mhi Posted June 15, 2012 Author Report Posted June 15, 2012 Yes. I already reinstalled the software.I still stuck here. Can u consult me what to do? Quote
kaare_t Posted June 15, 2012 Report Posted June 15, 2012 The problem is Windows related (ntvdm.exe is a Windows process, NOT a MEDOC process), a 16-bit process for Windows 32-bit platform.... I think you should repair/re-install windows.... See this link for more info on http://www.processlibrary.com/directory/files/ntvdm/24761/ Quote
Crossbow Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 It's not MEDOC, it's Windows. Either way, if you are running Windows, you should be using Windows-based software. Quote
mhi Posted June 17, 2012 Author Report Posted June 17, 2012 Is the 'repair' process can effect my files, documents, folders and software which is keep in my laptop? What is the different between reformat and repair process? Quote
kaare_t Posted June 17, 2012 Report Posted June 17, 2012 I would'nt trust the repair process so I would back up everything just in case. I would also re-install Windows instead of spending time trying to repair Windows..... Quote
larry818 Posted July 4, 2012 Report Posted July 4, 2012 It may have been a windows update that broke this. I'm assuming you're running DOS Medoc? Try switching to Medoc 2.41, which is a 32 bit windows text mode app. Or, switch to gx dev. Quote
Crossbow Posted July 5, 2012 Report Posted July 5, 2012 Buy GX Works2 and use the copy of GX Developer which is included with it. Use Windows based programming software for programming in Windows. DOS is dead. Quote
