Hello all, I've spent a bit of time programming in Labview, and had a PLC programming class specific to Unitronics PLC/HMI. I've got a small Horner unit on my desk that I'm trying to begin mucking about with, in order to try to become more familiar and more proficient. I'm starting at the bottom... Trying to increment a graph with the push of a button. All of my PLC experience being in a week's training of Unitronics, I don't have many examples or many things that I can refer to, not even for specific Horner-type stuff, but for general practice as to what kind of coil, contact, etc one would use, what kind of bit or register would one set, etc. I've gotten an LED to turn on and off... Two whole ladder elements... I feel accomplished Anyway, is there a good 'general' list of 'this is what you use to do what' in ladder programming? Any resources for a newb like me? Thanks in advance.

Where to look for information on ladder programming is as vast as the number of people who makes PLCs. Every vendor does some things a bit differently, so you should start by determining which PLC you want to learn.
